The holy Quran, the first source

The first and the main source of Shariat is the Holy Quran. It is a clear document of Shariat. The main structure of Sharit is based on it. Sunnah holds the second place as the source of Sharit because the holy Quran is the basis and Sunnah its explanations. There are brief descriptions of all subjects in the Holy Quran. And the Hadith consists of the analysis of those subjects. Allah says about the holy Quran.
“I haverevealed the kitab to you, which is the vivide interpretations of all subjects” (Sura an Nahal:89)
